I was having a coffee today at Starbucks and read an interesting article in the Financial post about the "Stanley Cup predictor". If you currently have money invested in the markets, you should be rooting for the Pittsburgh Penguins this year over Detroit. According to this predictor, if the Penguins win, there is an 87.5% chance of the markets going up. Since 2000, if an Eastern conference team won, average gains have been 16.47% and if a Western conference team won, the markets have declined by 12.05%.Now there is a trading pattern you take to the bank! Go Penguins!
