All North American markets sold off today. My portfolio managed to handle the meltdown fairly ok; I was thinking of cutting some losses and trimming some of my long positions this morning, however I did nothing. I am considering hedging some of my long small cap tech positions by buying some HQD.TO or HSD.TO, however I didn't pull the trigger today. I will be watching closely tomorrow and will take appropriate action.
The US$ is on the edge of collapse. It has already been beaten down badly and looks to be falling further. I am short USD/CAD and it appears to be breaking support of the double bottom formed early last November and early May. If it doesn't hold here, watch out!! I think it will retest the lows from last September at 1.05.
